Lotus Document Manager Migration Options
IBM discontinued IBM Lotus Document Manager on May 12, 2009
- Migrate to Lotus Quickr plus FileNet or Content Manager
- Requires a IBM WebSphere, DB2 backend
- and the associated training, migration services, and infrastructure costs
- Migrate to Lotus Quickr only
- Ideal for basic document services; not ideal if you need advanced EDMS features
- Migrate to a Domino-based alternative; Docova Document Management
- Migrating to Docova results in a quicker and cleaner data migration
- Contains the advanced Lotus Document Manager features you require
- Supports Vista, Office 2003/2007, and Domino R8
- Migration tool available
If Option #1 is out-of-reach and #2 is not enough, then Option #3 retains the advanced features of Lotus Document Manager on a Domino platform with Docova
- a cost effective & mature alternative.
