Project ‘TEITR’ Unveiled at Lotusphere 2011

DLI.tools talks Project ‘TEITR’, the next-generation of DOCOVA on the Showcase Floor

ORLANDO, FL – 31 Jan 2011:
DLI.tools Inc., a leader in web-based Document and Content Management, will discuss Project ‘TEITR’ (pronounced ‘tighter’) at Lotusphere 2011, IBM's annual  collaboration and social business event.

Project TEITR is the codename for a new DLI.tools initiative, centered around its DOCOVA ECM platform, a leading Document and Content Management platform for IBM Lotus Domino.  DLI.tools will discuss a new architecture vision for supporting multiple technology platforms on the backend.  DLI.tools will preview components of TEITR, including a vision of co-existence between Lotus Domino and Microsoft SQL Server.

“When I’ve talked to customers and business partners about the TEITR vision, several immediately focus on our architecture for co-existence, and they get real excited about the potential,” states John Ryan, Managing Partner – CTO, DLI.tools Inc., “We are constantly seeing customers change their technology platforms, either moving to Lotus Notes and Domino or to Microsoft.   Mail is relatively easy, but dealing with applications represents a significant problem.  TEITR will address this issue head on, providing a low-cost, lower-risk strategy for keeping the backend transition transparent to the end user.”

Several components of TEITR will comprise of the next major release of DOCOVA, earmarked for 1H 2011. DLI.tools has made several significant DOCOVA announcements in 2010, including

- DOCOVA Integrated Content Services for IBM Lotus Quickr (Document Management Integration with Quickr)
- DOCOVA Domino Document Manager (Domino.doc) Migrator – leveraging the  Document Manager Migrator, Lotus Quickr Edition
- Records Management capabilities
- DocovaCloud – the cloud version of the leading DOCOVA on-premise solution

“In discussing TEITR with business partners and customers, both agree that there is no ‘silver bullet’ for addressing for integrating or converting applications between platforms.  TEITR represents a well thought out logical approach,” concludes Ryan.
